Yesterday, Spotify announced new changes to the way they’re handling their Family account. Where it was once the primary account holder and 1 other person on a single Family plan, Spotify is now. Join or leave Family Mix any time at www.spotify.com/account/family. Or, in the mobile app tap (Android) / (iPhone), then select Join Family Mix. Note: To leave Family Mix, repeat these steps and tap Leave Family Mix. Play Family Mix. There are a few ways to find and play Family Mix: Find it in Home under Made For You. Search for Family Mix.

Premium Family is a discount plan for up to 6 family members who live together.

Each person on the plan uses their own account, so no one shares a password and everyone keeps their own saved music and playlists

Premium Family comes with:

• Spotify Kids - an app packed with singalongs, soundtracks, and playlists made just for kids.
• Family Mix - a playlist based on the tastes of everyone on the plan.
• Explicit filter - the plan’s manager can choose if members get explicit music.

Start a Premium Family plan

The person who wants to manage the plan signs up. They can use their existing account or create a new one.

Note: You can’t change the plan manager once they’ve signed up.

Spotify Family App Free

Starting a plan means only you can:

• Handle payments
• Set the address
• Invite and remove members
• Control explicit music
• Create Kids accounts

Note: If you already have Premium with a partner company (e.g your phone or internet provider), you first need to cancel with them and wait for your current Premium to end.

Join a Premium Family plan

To join someone else’s plan, you must:

• Live with the plan manager (the person who signed up)
• Log into (or sign up for) your own account
• Enter the correct address

The plan manager sends you an invite to join.

Note: If you already have Premium with a partner (e.g your phone or internet provider), you first need to cancel with them and wait for your current Premium to end.
