Part 2. Speed Up Song / Slow Down Spotify Music in Web Player

• One of the best, hidden features of Spotify, in this author’s opinion, is the ability to control Spotify playback from any connected device. It’s a bit like AirPlay 2, and while it only works for Spotify, it’s extremely convenient on supported devices. On the iOS app, just start playing a song.
• The latest version of the desktop Spotify software includes a Lyrics button by the playback bar – click on this to bring up lyrics powered by Musixmatch. Select Settings to hide the background.

As is mentioned above, there is no official way for you to speed up music or slow down songs yet. Luckily, there is an effective for us to change Spotify playback speed in the Spotify Web Player effortlessly. 'Spotify Playback Speed Access' is a totally free Chrome extension which adds ability to change song speed with an input next to the volume slider. Find this extension in the chrome web store and install it in your Chrome browser.

After installation, please visit Spotify Web Player and log in with your account. You will see a little box next to volume, for you to adjust the Spotify playback speed, with a default of 100 at normal music playback. You can either press the triangle icon to increase or decrease the level to fast forward or slow down the playback speed or enter a number between 7 and 1600. This free Chrome extension allows you to adjust the playback speed of all Spotify contents including music, podcasts, and audiobooks. It would be a fun and useful feature for musicians, dancers, or teachers for practicing and class activities.

It would be a great tool for practising music for everyone with an instrument and i bet thats alot of spotify users. At the moment people have to use something like youtube to playback songs on lower speed, but the quality there just doesnt cut it. Please re-open the case for the idea 'Playback speed'. Suggested speeds are: 25%, 50%, 60%, 75%.
